When I start up my car, I will hear a little rattle, type of screetching noise. When I press the accelerator, I hear it, and it's kind of like a shreak. Going from 1st into 2nd, when the accelerator is applied heavily -- the noise is at its loudest. However, when pressing lightly on the accelator, the noise is silent. After maybe a minute or two, the noise is gone. Almost as if the car has 'warmed up.'

The turbo spools fine.

I'm not sure if I have an exhaust leak, or if it may be a belt/pulley.

This noise has been going on for about a month now, just happened out of nowhere. It's really annoying me, I need to fix it.

Well, according to what you have said it sounds like an exhaust leak to me. Check your exhaust manifold to see if any bolts have broken, melted, or somehow went missing. (I had that problem, the previous owner broke a bolt off and i had to tap it out to fix it). If that's the case then the bolts must be replaced along with a new exhaust manifold gasket.

IF you see everything still in its place then you might have a cracked manifold... but hey just the right time to get an awesome chrome manifold with external wastegate!! haha!

Good luck with your fix! :dsm:
