Hey so let me start by saying yes there are alot of threads like this but times are always changing and many of these threads are out of date!

i have a loan for $9,500 and about $1,000 in cash and i'm ready to buy a car. i want something with about 50k-80k miles and I want something fun to drive. I'm having a hard time finding cars that I like that are affordable mainly because if I go to one extreme of luxury and just relaxing I find myself looking at SUV's that are too pricey or like Chrysler 300's that are around $15,000 etc. and anything 4door and fun like an evo or a wrx are either impossible to find or also over $10,000 so whats a fairly quick car that you guys know are reliable and around 9-10 grand.

Don't you have a girlfriend/wife?

j/k :tease:

Buy a 99+ Saab 9-3 or 9-5 depending on how large of a car you're looking for. You wont be able to afford an Aero or Viggen at that price (Maybe a Viggen if you get something closer to 99) but they're all fantastic cars to drive, they get really good fuel mileage and if you find yourself with a 2.3L HOT engine, they're quicker than hell.

That or a Volvo, my buddy just picked up an 04 Volvo S60 R 6spd for $15k to give you an idea on the prices.

Get an 1G AWD turbo, best engine in the world, only problem is that you may end up having old car problems.

Heres what I ment by honda/acura. the 3.2TL.

if you dont like it, my other vote goes to the lexus IS300.

Acura tsx, in white, 10% tint. baller.

Those acura rsx type s are pretty peppy. They are fun to drive.

Yeah you can get one of these for 11-12k with under 90k miles, 5spd rwd luxo/sport sedans are always cool. I plan to get one myself sometime.

I'm gonna say an '03 CL Type-S... My mom's got a '97 2.2 CL, and that pulls like a V6, and it's only SOHC... The DOHC V6 Type-S pulls like a V8, easy.

I know the smaller first gens are quite tossable, and fun to drive.

Mazda 3 or mazda speed3 if u can find one, or the is300 with a really, really big turbo ROFL
