Hey all. I just bought a 95 Eagle Talon Tsi about 2.5 weeks ago. It ran fairly decently untill last week. I got in and it would start then shut off.... long story short, there is oil in my cylinders.

Now I am stuck with either having it Rebuilt somewhere, getting a crate motor, or selling it. It is in really good shape, but with a bad engine I doubt I could get what I paid for it which was $2500. I don't have a garage or anything so rebuilding it myself is out of the question, and really putting a crate motor in is too, but I think it might be more managable.

Anyways, I was wondering which shop you guys would trust to rebuild in the portland area. Damn this sucks. :(

Trusted DSM shop in the Northwest.

RRev motorsports. The guy that left torque freaks started a this new shop. Not specific to dsm's but very knowledgeable. They had a 8 sec supra at battle of the imports in WA.

If you want help swapping out the engine, I'd be more than willing to help you out. I live in Gaston.... right up 47 from McMinnville. I've got a garage and everything we need to replace it. Mine should be out of the garage by the end of the month, but i can roll it out anytime if you got one sooner.

Thank you very much.

Although I would love to do the rebuild myself, I have a 5month old kid and, well, not really any time ever at all to work on the vehicles. I was thinking of taking it down to davidson auto down here. They are the cheapeast and actually the most professional place I have found. When it is all said and done will probablly only cost me about $1500.

Maybe after this thing is running we could cruise sometime though, or in the future if I need a garage for a day. ~Bryan

i totally understand with the kid thing. up until mine hit 1 1/2- 2ish....... i couldn't do anything. If you can find a replacement engine for cheaper than that, I'll still help you out. Or if you need some help with something else in the future. I just like working on stuff.
