Ok I have a situation that is relly pissing me off. I finally got my car back together after my turbo install and now I have an enormous vacuum leak somewhere near or on the intake mani. I also removed the emissions when I was doing the install if that helps. I bought new throttle body gaskets, checked the pcv and bov hoses. Checked the egr (just capped off now), made sure that all of the nipples on the throttle body are capped well. And I can still hear the hissing. It is super loud. I even tried to do a boost leak test but I couldn't hear anything when I did it (I was using a bike pump though). Does anybody have any idea what I should check??????
Thanks,
Travis

Ok I just did some searching and found that people are having a problem with felpro throttle body gaskets which is what I got so I guess that I will go to napa tomorrow and get some different ones.

I know on my buddy's GSX, he hit the rev limiter on his and blew his intake gasket very easily. It was made of the paper type junk. So your problem is probably the intake gasket, if you haven't ever changed it. I use the Mitsubishi metal gasket. Hope it works out for you.

The mitsubishi intake gasket that I recieved with my gasket kit was plastic. I don't think it's metal.

If you have access to a compressor try to use that for a leak test. Just make sure to turn the pressure down to ~25.

Check the t/b gasket as mentioned. Check where the intake mani bolts to the head and make sure they are tight. And also check the vacuum lines that are attached to the two nipples on the intake above the fuel rail.

Check the PCV hose, I once had one split on me, couldnt tell by looking at it that it was slit, until I removed it and bent it about...
Aside from that possibly a leaky injector insulator?
