ok was just wondering what hp i would be looking at with this set up in my
92 laser nt any ideas?

1. already got turbo head

2. next week im going to pull the engine and put new rings in

3. udp

4. cold air intake

5. 2.5 inch exaust

6. header-is the header worth gettin? lose compression?

my engine will be pretty close 2 brand new with the new rings n the turbo head has been rebuilt about 5000 miles ago thanks for the replies

1 I don't know much about it, is the head ported or stock shape?
2 umm i doubt piston rings will give you hp gains as much as it helps support these gains.
3 Dosen't actually "give" you hp as it does "free" hp, but its all the same shit anyways :p 5whp, presence will be felt throughout the powerband
4 anywhere from 5-8whp
5 2.5" piping? Straight thru w/ no cat? If it has a cat umm 3whp if not maybe 5 or 6???
6 Header, good for 1-2whp but its presence will be felt throughout the powerband

Umm, dont think of the turbo head as a performance upgrade, its identicle to the N/T. Now if you use the turbo cams that are on the turbo head then you can get a 5-7hp increase in power. UDP will give you about another 5-7 (felt like more than that to me). New rings wont change much; no hp gain. A short ram intake (there is no CAI for our cars) is good for 5-7hp as well. Full 2.5" exhuast is probably good for around 10hp. They dont make a header for our cars worth buying yet... http://www.punishmentracing-na.com is building the first which should be released this week. I dont know why you think it would change your compression, but with those mods it should help out decently. Probably a 5-10hp gain from a header with your supporting mods.

All in all you would gain somewhere between 30-45hp out of all of those mods (roughly... could be substantially less or slightly more).

Hope this helps.

you really think 5-10 hp for headers? my guess is more towards 20-25hp
