hey i just got my exhaust manifold (2g) and decided to port it out. i didnt get to do the other holes because i havent got my gaskets yet, so i just did the "back" hole. i used a dremel and it took a hour and some change...this was my 1st time doing anything like this so tell me how it came out! was i supposed to take down that middle wall anymore?:confused:

Get a 7cm gasket and port match it to the gasket. The middle "wall" looks fine to me. You won't know how much you need to port until you get the gasket.
 
You did good considering you did this with a dremel tool, looks smoth and with no rough edges, you did a good job removing the "step" from the center ring, that right there should give you a good improvement in flow, but matching that and the turbo inlet to a 7cm gasket will give you the best flow.

Nevertheless Great job.
 
No you don't want to remove that center divider. Its there to direct the exhaust flow into the turbine inlet. Removing it will cause turbulance. Some people knife edge the divider, which is basically removing material to make it come to a sharp point. I left the dirverter in my SBR mani alone as that area is prone to cracking & I thought with more mass it would be less likely to crack.

...and fall into a turbine spinning at 100,000 RPMs. Leave the divider.
