Winnipeg,
Hey i know the typical turbo kicks in around 3 rpm's and so does mine but i'am just wondering is there any way you can make the turbo kick in faster? I know once turbo kicks in your gone but i'am just wondering if i can make it kick in faster becuase then she would fly!....LOL ROFL

An equal-length tuned header helps. Port-matching the header collector to the turbo helps. Port-matching the header to the head helps. But there will always be turbo lag. You've got AWD, so just launch above your turbo spool rpm and keep the rpm above it the entire time. Launch at like 4,000 rpm, and don't just drop the clutch. Ride it out but ride it hard, keeping your right foot planted and the rpm above 3,000. You don't have a big turbo, so lag should be the least of your worries.

I have a stock turbo, its the fastest spooling turbo on :dsm: that i know of. If you haven't done all you upgrades to make her breath easier, thats first, i just did a MBC and that helped a little. :thumb:

Yea i guess the AWD helps with me at the start and i know there will always be turbo lag. But yea thanks for the feedback..she is plenty fast for me...LOL :thumb:

decrease resistance before compressor housing (intake pipe) decrease intake system volume after compressor housing (intercooler, piping, intake manifold), increase compression ratio, free up exhaust, and get an equal length tubular header... i think thats about all you can do....

or is it?

go with the 3" GM MAF-T translator........
External wastegate
hard metal pipes for intake and intercooler pipes
swap out your stock BOV for atleast a 1g BOV

put your air filter right on the turbo-----used mostly at the track if you have the blow-thru intake set-up.

thanks for the list i already got most of the thing u mentioned full cat back exhuast, greddy type R BOV, ram air intake... Looks like i gotta do some piping work with the intercooler and get a new westgate. :thumb:

Do all the cheaper mods! Exhaust, intake, and you should noticesome difference in spool. 3k is good i have read about spool at 3500-4000 that seems long time to wait. :notgood:
