how to test crank sensor and location.

hey guys, i have a 1990 rs turbo laser fwd, i have a hard time turning it over.

we have tested the : power transistor, coil pack, battery and plugs/wires, no spark to plugs.

I cannot find the test for the crank angle sensor on mitchells, nor the loacation at the moment,

basically my questions are,

1 where is the crank angle sensor?
2- how to test crank angle sensor?
3 are there more than one power transistor? - mitchell says power transistors plural so i am wondering if i am missing something.

You can't find the crank angle sensor because 6-bolt engines don't have one.

Thats not entirely true a nd it isnt just six bolt. 1g use one sensor for crank and cam and is the one you should be familiar with off the valve cover. There is one transistor pack. Get a factory manual. Its much more complete.

Cam/crank sensor is one unit located drivers side of intake cam. issues with crank should set code 22, cam 23

Ya 1gs have cam angle sensors. Which I think has a notch in it to put in properly, but is still adjustable. Don't advance it too much or can detonate.
