Hey I recently. Bought an oil pump from extremepsi and I ordered the OEM pump because I don't want to go with a top line pump, this pump isn't stamped with a mistubishi logo anywhere so how can I be sure it is OEM? Please give any advise/knowledge on how to find out

Thanks, Josh!

Mitsubishihi isnt fabricating the OEM oil pump anymore, so even if its OEM its from a replacement manufacturer. And its been proven to NOT be as reliable as the Mitsubishi oil pump...

Didn't it come in a genuine Mitsubishi parts box with a sticker? If you ordered OEM from Extreme then you definitely would receive oem from them.

The thing is, Mitsubishi used to fabricate the oil pump, and now they arent so they have a replacement manufacturer fabricate the OEM oil sump for them, its still going to have the Mitsubishi part number and boxed in a Mitsubishi box, but the quality aint the same as when Mitsubishi used to make them... There are a lot of parts that arent manufacturer by the car manufacturer and are boxed in OEM box and sold under OEM parts. Thats how it is, I'm a certified technician and have worked in several dealerships, I know the ropes...
