Looking to strengthen my rear 4 bolt diff on the eclipse. Ill be shooting for 600whp after this winters build and im sure ill need to beef up the rear. what can i do to decrease the chances of blowing up the rear diff? Anyone have any experience with aftermarket diff covers? any recommendations on bushings or seals?
Thanks!

When it comes to that subject i also do off-roading in my Range Rover my personal experience is axles brake more then diffs blow out, but if you do a diff upgrade you will need an axle upgrade also, but look in to racing spyder gearing and look in to racing diff locks, KAAZ supports dsm so i would look in to them also. I hope i helped :D

KAAZ is great for diff's. I had one in my supra at one point. I had a buddy of mine that did some amazing work and shortened up a ford 9" and mounted it as a true IRS in a supra. I copied his design and installed one in mine too as it offers so many options to gearing and posi lock. But that is a lot of fabrication to make it work. Best bet if if you want something direct swap is going to be the KAAZ with some DSS axles. Or you can fab up a way to mount the 9in ford back there and have something nearly bulletproof. Just depends on your fab skills and so on.

Funfettie it just depends on how much you are willing to spend and how strong you want it. But will racing diffs and new spyder gearing in that diff using launch control your going to want a very hard axle with deep cut teeth cause you will snap axles in a heart beat

First Quaife is in the UK not here in the US it even says it on there site, also Quaife is known for there tranny's more or less everyone i know in the racing world GMG, Jaguar, even Scubys there are all using KAAZ LSD now some people love Quaife steering racks personally i havent got to play with them.

I like quaife personally, there is no clutches to play with. Like your tranny on your car clutches can wore out over time and needs to be replaced. Quaife did have a reputation of breaking back then because of their casting flaws. Now with improved techniques and years of experience (on and off tracks) they are reliable as any other diffs on the market. With street driving and occasional track experience its as great buy. There is no clutch to replace so theoretically you could install it once and enjoy for along long time.

I am personally planning to Quaife my rear end soon as i save up more money. This should be a nice upgrade from the Viscous diff.
