does anyone know if theres any write-ups on how to remove body parts off a 1ga? like fenders, front bumpers, rear bumpers and such? I'm trying to remove my fender but..I'd have to remove my pop-ups...I have no clue how to do that? I use to have a mustang and that was the easiest thing to take apart LOL. If anyone has anything let me know..I'd like to start painting my car and can't because of this... Thanks in advance!!! :)

There are hidden bolts EVERYWHERE....Just take your time and go thru every piece individually and you'll find em

The bolts should be the same for the body parts for 1ga and 1gb..The fender there is a couple on top, one on the inside by the side marker, then one i think that you have to open the door to remove that bolt..Then there are two I think under the side skirt..Then one or two holding the fender to the bumper. And you alos have to remove the bolts holding the plastic wheel wells to the fender..

As far as the front bumper goes you have to remove the headlights..There are a couple bolts that bolt into the metal crash support..Then two bolts holding the bumper to each fender..

If you remove the fenders first, the bumper will be easier to remove..

Depends if you want to be clean or not.

Quick and messy would be to use a motorized saw or a sharpened blade to hack with. You could also be more surgical with the process by cutting around the joints - seperating ligaments, tendons, muscles, and other connective tissue from the two joining sections.

It also depends on the parts themselves. Obviously going by a joint will be easier than hacking through bone. Removing cartilage or fatty tissue protrusions will require the least amount of effort as well.

Tourniquets will also help minimize blood flow and a face shield should be worn. You do not want random body fluids to enter your eyes. Blood borne pathogens (HIV, hepatitis, etc) can enter via your eyes, cuts in the skin, or open wounds in the mouth.

On a more serious note, you'll just need to find the extra bolts holding everything in. The rear half will have hidden bolts behind the trunk plastics IIRC. What's panels are you removing?

Sounds like Scott is on his way to be the next serial killer from PA..

The rear bumper is where I cannot offer any help.I've never had a reason to remove it..Although I never had a reason to remove my fenders or front bumper the first time I did it..I did that just for fun..
