Tell me if this works and add suggestions please.

With car on jack stands, pull tire, dissconnect tie rod and remove shock, replace tire and put a scale under it.

Add half of shock/spring weight or not? If I unbolt everything, half of axle?

This is for a GVR4.

Approx. 2G AWD unsprungs: front = 65# + 40% of shock & spring + 100% of wheel & tire; rear = 40# + 45% of shock & spring + 100% of wheel & tire. No idea about other DSMs.

I used the "remove the shocks and springs, loosen all articulation points, and then stick a bathroom scale under the rotor" method to get these values. Correction welcome.

c5chris, Was that the correct link? According to that I don't need to count control arms, shocks or axles. Strange.
