Can someone give me basic instructions on doing an oil pressure test wityh a mechanical tester? This is my first time doing such a test and am afraid I won't bge able to find thr hookup for the tester and such.

I think the gauge is dead as it was showing 0 oil pressure and my bro drove it like that for over an hour before calling em and telling me it was at 0 with no problems. Ugh.

Anyhow, TIA guys.

Ok, here is what you do.

1. Jack up your car and put on stands(unless you are really skinny)
2. Take off the oil pressure ending unit. It is a little brass colored screw type thing. oil will come out of the hole so you might want to put your finger in it.
3. find the right adapter for your pressure guage and screw the guage into the opening for the oil pressure sending unit.
4. turn on your car.

I am interested in seeing what reding you get off your car. I just tested mine last week and got 40psi at idle and about 100psi after the RPMs got up over 1500

Crap, don't think i will be able to jack it up where it sits and I don't want to run it anymore till I'm sure it's just the gauge. :(

Where exactly will the sending unit be underneath? Wouldn't have a pic would you? LOL
