how to check if MBC is disconnected

i was wondering how would i know if my MBC is disconnected because i think the stupid shop disconnected it and jst set my stock boost 20psi..because i lowered it on my MBC and it still goes up to 20psi..
 
Check the vacume line going from your boost controller to your waste gate. These are somtimes damaged from removing and replacing the intake pipe. If the vacume line is old it will just split open and your waste gate will not open.
I have seen this more than once.
