how to check if MBC is disconnected

i was wondering how would i know if my MBC is disconnected because i think the stupid shop disconnected it and jst set my stock boost 20psi..because i lowered it on my MBC and it still goes up to 20psi..

Umm... you would just follow the vacuum lines running to and from it. If they aren't hooked up then it isn't hooked up. Also you lines could be leaking or kinked.

Yeah just trace the vacuum lines. One should go from the pressure source (either from the compressor housing or J pipe, even possibly T'd off the bov line) to the bottom nipple on the mbc, then from there out the other nipple on the mbc and to the wastegate actuator. it stays at 20psi where i first had it..but i wanted to lower the boost, but it seems everytime i do lower it it jst lowers the vacume on my boost guage and the boost stays the same

Did you check for leaks?

Check the vacume line going from your boost controller to your waste gate. These are somtimes damaged from removing and replacing the intake pipe. If the vacume line is old it will just split open and your waste gate will not open.
I have seen this more than once.
