i searched and searched couldnt find a answer, so like the title says what is the easiest way to see if gas is getting to the engine, i looked for one of them pressure release valves like a car tire stem but couldnt find one anybody got some insight to this?? thanks

I loosen the two 10mm bolts holding the fuel line to the rail. Pull it off, stick a long peice of coolant hose and run it into a gas can. Then there is a wire on the firewall (in between the battery and intake)that you run 12V from the battery to and it turns on your fuel pump. It still doesn't tell you if your injectors are working or if your fuel pressure regulator isn't working. Basicly just tells you if the fuel is getting to the rail. Hope that helps.

Oh and the hose goes on the fuel line not the fuel rail!

Pull rail off, leave injectors in and plugged in. Have someone crank over the car while you watch the lower portion of the injector very close.

Please dont do that. But the above posts are some good ideas. What exactly is the problem you are having?

You don't have to have it close to your face as you can get sprayed in the eye. Not something pretty. Just point the rail down and have someone turn the key over. Depending on injector size you should see little squirts or white mist.

I always put a piece of cardboard on the valve cover pull the fuel rail lay it on the cardboard with the injectors and fuel line connected and turn the key over if the cardboard gets wet your good, if not pull the fuel lines if you get fuel there something is wrong with your injectors.

jumper the fuel pump check wire to battery +,. so the pump runs with the car off. the squeez the fuel return hose with some needle nose pliers. you should hear the pump load up to pump harder. no bucket, no hose, no pulling fuel rails to pop injectors out, no disconnecting anything

the problem i am having is i just redid the timing belt and crank position sensor and now i am not getting spark but i also wanted to see if i was getting gas, because i was told if the cps is bad then i would get a bad signal to the ecu and i would not get spark or fuel delivery

thanks buddy this seemed to be the easiest way to see if the fuel was getting to the rail now to attemp to see if the fuel injectors are opening but definately +1 for you very easy and yes fuel was getting to the rail. thanks again

If that's your problem, I would start by testing your Crank sensor.

this is the second new one i put on got one from advance auto parts still no spark so i swapped it thinking maybe i got a defective sensor but still no spark

if you're cam sensor is damaged you'll only get spark on 2 cylinders. 1 and 4 or 2 and 3. Don't remember exactly which one.

cam sensor i havent touched it and it worked before i broke the cps and i am not getting spark on any cylinder so i doubt it went out just like that, but will still have it tested just becuase i have no where else to go from here :ohdamn: damn dsm's
