Ok i just got a used turbo, and there is some shaftplay, side to side but it doesnt touch the walls, but when i hold it to one side with a good amount of pressure the blades barely skim the all, But i know that the turbo has no oil and iam putting pressure more than normal. :( i have a bad feeling i have a bad turbo? (super20g), Can somone please help me out?

side to side shaftplay is normal.. when the turbo spins it is balanced so it doesnt hit the sides.

in/out shaft play ALOT is bad that means your seals are shot and needs to be rebuilt.

id just run the turbo and see how it works.. most people that dont know much about turbos that buy them always ask this question..

my FP3065 has side to side and in/out shaft play and its brand new but little bit of in/out is normal on a ball bearing turbo.
