How much wheel horsepower would this combo make?

1992 Talon TSi AWD
Generally fresh motor (6 bolt) with probably 30k miles on it.
16g turbo.
Boost controller.
3 inch down pipe.
3 inch Apexi exhaust.
2100 ACT clutch.
255 fuel pump.
550cc injectors.

Hate to be a jerk but the only way to know is to dyno. There are so many variables that it is impossible to say.

I know you are thinking "well then just give me a ballpark figure". No becasue again we are not dyno's and you should go to one to find out. It is also against the rules but I am sure you read them in detail and it just slipped your mined.

Why yes I did, you are absolutely correct. It just slipped my mind. I apologize for breaking the rules, it's just that I'm looking at buying a car with this described setup and I was curious as to what types of numbers it may be putting down. I don't think the owner has dyno'd the car.

I guess I could also ask you what you would pay for a car such as that one, with excellent interior and exterior, white with tan leather, 5 speed, and no rust (california car). (it also has aftermarket 17 inch rims and tires)

[his original asking price was 4 grand, then he dropped it down to 3700, and I was thinking more like 3000, 3200 at most, am I right, or am I low?]

hard to tell since the owner has probably gone thru alot with his car, and he won't just let her go that easy, or depends on his situation... you can always give it a try...

now with that setup and some tuning that turbo to some 18psi you can easily go to the mid 13's on cool weather, even better with the right driver.

of course the 16g is capable of alot more than just 18 untuned psi, but again... tuning makes more agressive power.

Well thank you for at least owning up to a simple mistake you are one of a kind.

I dont think that 3700 was to bad if it is super clean, especially with those mods. I got my talon stock for 3200 and it had 101k on it. It will definatly need an AFC or some other type of fuel tunning device tomake the best of it with those injectors and fuel pump.

You guys have been quite helpful. I think I'm going to have to put a suspension on this car (I've never owned an AWD car before, other than a 4WD SUV which doesn't count, so this is going to be a blast for me) and I want it to handle really well, and ride quality doesn't mean ANYTHING to me so I want a suspension that will make it handle like it's on rails. Any suggestions? Also, what other mods might I want to throw on there that it's missing that would make some good power? I'm a COMPLETE newbie to DSMs and imports in general. For a while I had my sights set on a Camaro or TransAm, but I saw this car for sale and I think I'm going to buy it.

He better be able to pull better times than that. My 92 Talon had the stock turbo, no fuel mods, except a pump, and 17psi, ACT2600 and I was pulling consistent 13.5-13.6.

I'd say with good tuning and a good driver you could get it into the 12's, but I'd suggest with that ACT2100 you don't launch hard very much, because that clutch will go fast.

12s you say? Not bad. So this car would put a hurting on stock Camaros and TransAms and Corvettes? Nice nice. :thumb: For 3500 or 4 grand that's not bad at all! :talon:
