How much hp do you think i can get?

Ok... I know this sounds dumb to ask.. I was wondering a rounded number of what I will be able to make with what I am going to put on my engine... Its the 4g63 stock (135 hp... which everyone know thats anyways ) with a 13g turbo running 7 psi. Turbo cams. A good intake with a good filter and 2.5 or 3 in. piping. A FMIC. A good BOV. Straight through exhaust system. Thank God for Tennessee not having a emissions rule!! I know all that stuff sounds dumb for a little turbo only running 7psi... I plan on running more than that when i have the money to rebuild the engine! I only have enough now for a little turbo system. I can still get good parts to put on the good system for later on. I was thinking around maybe 150 or 160? But not sure....

why bother? Just get a gst to begin with and you won't have to worry about having a good starting point.

Becuase I have no money. The money I do have ,though is only enough to make my cars alittle bit faster. I would rather do it myself anyways. I like telling people yeah.. I rebuilt the whole engine Replaced everything and now its running 400 hp. I'm just more of a hands on person to my cars.....I like knowing I can do it more than knowing i bought it that way.. Besides I wanna do it to learn and help other people out with it too.

Why not just buy a Viper and call it a day?

Telling someone to start with a faster car isn't very helpful. I would say that you should be putting around 140-150 whp if you are tuned right ( ie no knock or lean ). You'll also be making a good amount of torque ( more than most FWDs out there, ie Honda's ). What size injectors are you running? They would allow you to make more power. I would go for a good fuel system next.

Fuel pump, rewire, S-AFC, datalogger and DSMchip with some 660s should be all you need. Then get a small 16G and a heavier clutch and have some fun. With that stuff you can now start feeling good that you need better tires and suspension to keep from breaking loose. LSDs are your friends too.

I like that! That was great! Anyways.... I am getting 450cc injectors...... thanx for all that! That really helps me out man! I def. going by what u say!

hell he will barely be able to beat me with 140hp anyway...

I know he's not far away from a gst but it would be a lot easier to sell the non turbo and buy a turbo wouldn't it? I'm sure it would cost less as well. That's all I was saying. If you do want to build your car up then yea do as the others posted.

I outrun yours daily....both of them, and your brothers......N/A 4g's are slow and the 1.8 isnt even worth discussing. Anyone who thinks otehrwise is kidding themselves.......and im not saying my car is fast, it IS slow...so anying SLOWER is REAL slow.
