How much boost can I run on my nearly stock Eclipse?

Running a 14b in my 2g and its currently running .6 bar (8.7 psi), thinking maybe I can turn it up a bit knowing the t25 runs 14ish stock. What would be a safe and/or optimal boost to turn it up 2 or should I just leave it at 8.7 psi?

Running stock fuel mods and no type of management/logger so I don't want to go overboard :)

the search feature would've easily taken care your question FYI ...

nevertheless, safe would be 14 psi ..

Yes, after 14psi and you run into gray area. Keep it at 14. Make sure your boost gauge doesn't have any leaks. If you turn boost up too high you'll go boom. After 14 you'll need fuel mods... You should leave it where it is and start logging.

Keep it around 15 psi max to be safe. Deff get yourself a wideband, it's always good to be able to monitor your car and what it's doing.
And at least for cheap insurance, get yourself a walbro 190.

Honestly man, get a logger setup; they sell pretty cheap on the classifieds (like $60). Learn whats going on and that will give you the info on when you're pushing it too much. Wideband is a good idea, but you cont have any way to control fuel (although a good idea). My $.02, or just run it man!

if your looking to do mods in the future id suggest just going with the walbro 255. on dsmparts.com its the same price as the 190 and if you get a tuning device such as a dsmlink, safc, etc. just depending on how much you want to spend, you will still get good mileage and be able to push much more boost, granted that you have all the other supporting mods to do so.

Do a boost leak test before doing anything. Get a logger after that. Then do your fuel supporting modifications. Get a wideband O2. Then take some datalogs and study them. Post them up here so we can give you a second opinion.

THEN, you can turn your boost up SAFELY.

Turning it up without doing the above is just guesswork. (read: not SAFE)

Fair enough, just thought 8.7 pounds was a bit lower then it SHOULD be. Ill def keep this thread updated once I get the logging software (probably going with pocketlogger).

Thanks fellas, great community here :)
