Just curious if others out there burn dino juice between oil changes? Seems that I will go through a good quart - a quart and a half between oil changes. I haven’t had my DSM for more than 6 months so I am just trying to get some perspective. Oh...im pretty sure im not leaking any because my driveway is clear and my space at work is too.

My mods:

None at all :thumb: I had 172K on the motor when I pulled it, and I never burned a drop of oil in the 2 years I had it, hopefully it stays running as good in the new car.

going thew a quart of oil is normal with a high mileage turbo engine. What happens is its the valve giudes and seals go bad in our motors and leak oil into the cumbustion chamber but it is not the pistion rings at fault. Also the turbo oil seals inside the housing get rock hard form the extream temps that they see and loose there seal and oil leaks into the inlet air going into the engine or out the exhaust.

115k here, not loosing any oil yet. I was loosing just a tiny bit of oil earlier because of a leaky valve cover gasket but got that fixed.

I go through half a quart a week, i smoke a lot and have no power so im positive its the rings, because my head just had a rebuild and my turbo is fine. Oh well i was going to do one anyway...
