I have a good trans and torque converter on my car that's benn sitting since january. If I was to swap it into another car one day what problems might I be looking at if any -OR- will it just be a matter of flushing it and a filter change. What about the torque converter?

Depending on how long it was sitting and the conditions it was sitting in, the front pump seal might need replaced. They tend to dryrot over time. Other than that it should be fine.

The conditions are it's been sitting in my driveway for 8 mths SO FAR where it will continue to sit as long as I think I might need it. I have no immediate plans of using it but there's a chance that sometime down the road I may want to. Of course my concern here is whether or not it will still be in good shape after X amount of time of non-use.
The outside air temps range from 0-100 degrees during the year. Thanks.

If it is sitting outside in the weather, it probably has moisture in it and is rusted inside. Even if it is covered up it still might get moisture in it. Trannies don't like sitting outside. :notgood:
