How hard would it be to put a windshield wiper on my back window ?

How hard would it be to put a windshield wiper on my back window like the 97-99? Would it be easier/cheaper to go get the entire hatch from a junked 97-99 or just get the wiper and wire it all up?

you can look at it two ways, youd have to choose the path you want to take.

1. Buy a hatch with one on already.
The good - dont have to drill the hole or mount the motor and wiper
The bad - MIGHT be hard to find, might need to have it painted
2. Put one on your self
The good - You dont have to worry about getting it painted
The bad - you have to buy the motor and wiper, drill the hole for it, and mount it

either way, you will need to get a switch for it and do alittle bit of wiring. i would say it would be easier to buy the hatch with it already in and get it painted to match your car.

My personal opinion is that of course buying a complete hatch would be easier, but personally I wouldn't bother and just put one in the hatch that I owned. Just my 2 cents.

the problem as stated earlier is finding a 97-99 thats not wrecked beyond belief and the problem with doing it urself is having electrical problems with it if ur a amateur.....good luck buddy i suggest looking for a hatch and if that fails put one in or just dont

What's the difference between the 97-99 one and the 95-96 one??

I would get all the required gear and install it myself rather than buy a whole hatch, but that's me. I don't think it'll be too difficult, but it won't be easy. That said, I don't think it's worth the trouble. You'll hardly ever find the need to use it.
