How hard is it to pull a 90 gsx motor?

Pulling the stock 4g63 out of my 90 gsx, is it very difficult, is there anything i need to look out for? My main concern is separation from the transmission.

This has been done many times so if you need info search or look on VFAQ. From my personal expreinces the 4G63 motor is easy to pull, its pretty straight forward. If this is the first one you've done (which it sounds like it is) make sure you mark everything so you know where it goes. Take your time and you'll do just fine.

It's easy, all you need is a crane, seven brown haired guys named Ryan, sixteen feet of garden hose, a broken snare drum, and a pirate ship. Once you find all of the above, a leprechaun will appear mysteriously out of nowhere and explain how all of this is relevant...

Thanks, kind of new to the site, still getting used to the layout. Ill check the VFAQ's out. I have pulled a couple motors out, but never a turbo motor, or a dsm motor.

Its not fun, I'll be honest about that. Pulling it is easy, compared to putting it back in.. ! Have fun with that, and plan on it taking about half a day or so.

I'm going with more the down and forward direction with pulling mine. Kinda like lifting the car off of the motor. Removing the fromt supports to aid in putting in the new one.
