How far can I push these valve springs?

Whats a safe rpm limit for my motor with these springs?

Head specs:
Stock Cams
Single Springs
Titanium Retainers
Bronze Valve Guides
+1mm oversized ss valves
Revised 3g 3mm Lifters

Spring Specifications:
*outer diameter size, 1.105

seat pressure:
*65 lbs @1.600
*79 lbs @ 1.560

open pressures:
*199 lb @ 1.100
 
are they stock springs? because stock springs have 68 lb. rated seat pressure thats why I'm wondering. I'd say 8K to be safe...
 
Stock springs at factory installed height of 1.51 are 66 lbs. The springs specs he posted are the JAM dual springs and the specs are almost identical to Crower single's. At the factory installed height they would provide around 25% more pressure than stock springs. Now considering that many people, myself included, have taken the stock springs and cams to 8000rpms, I would think that with these springs he wouldnt have any trouble going higher. But with stock cams there would be no point to it.

Luke, these are JAM's springs, but they are not dual springs, they are single springs. On JAMs sight it says a 15% increase in pressure.

So say I get new cams, which I will eventually, how high do you think I could safely go? 8500?
 
Well, for stock spring purposes, I revved mine to 8250 every day, every gear.LOL Stock valvetrain.

are you running BC 280's by chance, just wondering.... (haha, jk man)

To the OP, what did you end up taking those springs to ?
 
I havent taken the motor above 5000 yet, Im still breaking it in.

Im still wondering if anyone knows how far I can take these springs? Or if there is some type of equation I can use to find out how far I can push these springs.

I have had several people tell me they have taken the stock springs to atleast 8000 rpms.
JAM describes the springs I have to be a 15% increase in pressure.

Im not sure if this would work, but 15% of 8000 is 1200, so could that possibly mean that I can rev these springs to 9200?
 
It's possible I suppose. But just to bring up this point, why ? do you have a turbo and cams that need to rev up there to make power ? Not trying to insult you in anyway just wondering. Just looking over your profile quick I don't see any reason for you to really take your motor past 7 to 8. I don't think that little EVO III is going to flow much air after 8K on your setup.
 
I completely agree with you, Im just wondering for my own sake as to how far I can push these springs. Eventually Im going to buy a larger turbo and cams, so when I do, it will come in handy to know how far I can push these springs. Just trying to knock out some research now, because when I decide to buy a turbo and cams Im going to have enough research to do. Im getting ahead of myself, thats all.
 
How high you can push those springs depends on the cam. Cams with high lift and quicker ramp rate will start to float a valve at lower rpm than a cam with mild lift and ramp rates. That's why Forced Performance recomends dual springs for their X series cams.

I understand that, thats why I stated in my first post that I have stock cams. Im just trying to get an idea (rough estimate) of how far I can push these springs.
 
I have taken my stock springs to 8000 with my fp2 cams. I might have went slightly higher a couple of times also. So with stock cams I would bring stock springs to 8500.
