How does a mbc work?

I was actually wanting to know everyones theory . Please provide links! Also i would like to know what all kinds are availbe ? If you have pictures please post them . Also explian how you hooked yours up . Thanks i would really appreciate any help. I have my ideas but im not sure every one agrees and i would like to be on the same page

Quick answer, there are a couple different types, ball & spring & bleeder valve. Basically they put a restriction in the line so that the wastegate actuator sees less pressure, therefore taking longer to open, giving you more boost. Proper way to hook it up is to take a pressure source from the compressor housing, j-pipe or lower ic pipe & run it to the mbc inlet, then run another line from the mbc outlet to the wg actuator.

Boost pressure source from one or the other, compressor housing, LICP, J-Pipe, into inlet on MBC.

Ball & Spring style:
Pressure source pushes against ball.
Spring holds ball down resisting pressure.
Pressure builds until spring can't hold pressure any longer.
Pressure flows thru MBC outlet to Wastegate Actuator and pushes Wastegate Flapper open.
