Shut the hell up, the sideskirts are held on fine from the factory so there is no need for screws, just fix the damn $1 clip and do it right. And aftermarket sideskirts suck compared to stockers because you have to use adhesive and screws into the panels, both of which suck.

Dude, settle down. It's a clip vs. a screw. Let the man decide if he wants to go to the dealer for a clip or to a store for some screws.

I'd replace the clips and do the double sided tape. I have a similar problem but the damned plastic clips keep on breaking on me. They are incredibly weak. I must have went through like 10 of them and it still has a bad gap, though it is on the other side of the side skirt.

I'm calm. The issue I had was that he is acting like fixing something the wrong way is OK and easy. I am sure most people wouldn't notice the screw however the point is there is no double sided tape or screws on the sideskirt (other than underneath) so rather than drill a hole in the panel or put tape it is a ghetto fix for a different problem. If the problem is the clips, just replace them, they are about a dollar. Does that make sense? I just can't justify doing something wrong when the right way to fix it is so easy.

Is anything else with the car not right making the clips break? The clips should not be breaking at all.

Im not totally against screws, hell the passanger sideskirt is held on by one(i didn't do this) but i mean why put a hole in your car unless it's absolutely necessary. I found someone who is going to give me the plastic screws for free(thank you talonation). If these don't work im going to try the tape, and then as a last resort the screw.

Do it how you see fit for you car. I suggested the screw because that is how sideskirts are held on on all aftermarket and almost all stock sideskirts so that is the "right way"
There is nothing wrong with doing it that way i think maybe some of you were under
the impression that we meant putting screws right in the side of the car where it is
visable. You put a single screw (two if necessary and sometimes one underneath)
I also suggested applying the double sided tape aswell to secure the skirt and prevent
gaps or shifting of the piece. Like i said though do it how you see fit you have plunty
of suggestions to choose from though. :thumb:

i had the same problem on both sides, i fixed it with the screws in the wheels wells. I only went with the screws because i had no other options. Not only were the little white clips broken but the fiberglass connected to the skirt itself that holds the clips all broke . I put in two screws on each side and now just need to paint them red to hid em, but you dont even notice em now. I say go with the clips if possible but if not there is nothing wrong with the screws.

Alright I know this thread is a little old but I found a cheap, convenient fix for this. Go to checker (or probably any auto store) and go to the body clips section. I brought one of the snapped clips in with me so I could compare sizes and found that three ford black ones looked the closest. Got them home and they snapped right in:thumb:
If anyone wants a picture of the box or anything I can go find it...they only cost about 3$
