So I just picked up this 95 talon tsi... I paid 4k for it knowing there was alot of work to come... For the most part its a solid car with a 2.3 stroker with 6k on the motor and trans... The receipts say it has a stage 3 trans and clutch... It had a .70 trim turbonetics turbo, s/s tubular manifold, tial wastegate, venom sheetmetal intake, it is running a older version of wolf 3d v4 ecu with a MSD ignition...

For the bad: It looks like the guy put alot of money and not enough time... There is rats nest of wires under the dash what looks like he wired it right with solder and shrink wrap but he didnt trim them to length, so its not that bad, they also hacked the exhaust, I'm a aerospace high freq tig welder and aircraft fabricator so thats definetly not going to cut it, it looks like they put 2 1/2" into 3" and filled the gap with weld with a total rice tip, I have a appt. Sat morning to have 3" all the way out with a apexi tip...

So just wondering what you guys think... Good or bad deal???

Me personally would never of paid that for it. The paint job looks horrible. You should have found yourself a really nice shell and started from scratch that way you know everything is done the right way. Wiring messes can be a pain to fix. Engine bay doesnt look to bad. I would say fix the wiring mess and get it back to original color unless you want to be Paul Walker. =)

I'm not a fan of the orange either. You did pretty good. Trimming wire isnt all that difficult. And you could fix the exaust yourself.

I think it looks pretty sweet. I personally think u got a good deal on it, given all the mods already in it. What was the guys reason for selling it?

Im not a fan of the orange either, I could have done a better job with a rattle can ... He was selling it because he didn't know anything about the car,he gave his brother 4k to move to texas with and just wanted his money back.. There was no tune on the car when I bought it, but my friend put a street tune on it for 12psi and according to the data logger it is running a 11.5.6 with me shifting at 6k and rolling into it (not launching). I think it needs a timing belt and some dyno time. And of course some attention to the wiring, but I'm willing to un rig some stuff for a cool car...
