I have a leaking problem just found out after undergiong some heavy rain here... It is also kinda loose from using it as a lifting point, Now I would like to know how can I remove it in order to fix the leaking problem and see if there's anything that I can do make it sturdy and not slide anymore. I saw two maybe three screws that I take off, and was wondering if those are all of them before I attempt to try prying the sucker out without breaking anything else. Thank You all for your opinion on this matter.

George

yeah, take all of the screws out, and slide the middle wing towards the front of the car. Slide the side parts toward the front of the car also. they should all come off.

yeah this is a good question because I am trying to replace my wing with one that looks better on my laser... but isn't there like a rubber seal mobober?

Thanks Pinknuggit, I will try this weekend, I was SOoooo curious because again it had rained hard the other day and all of my trunk was in about an inch of water, and i figured since my center piece of the 3 is the one that moves slightly it should be coming from there not really right. Sorry if I dont get on it as quick as everyone may think, but I have two more projects going on at this point and wasnt planning on doing anything to it until I finished with atleast my other Eclipse which happens to be undergoing a whole body kit and exterior fixes (door ding, door handle elimination, etc) Thank You once again might do it tomorrow if nothing else goes on.

PS. Pinknuggit, you were the one that told me about the Arkansas club werent you???

Hey George,

You might wnat to try looking in to the antenna. I had an issue were the seal at the bottom of the antenna had become dryrot and no longer sealed against rain. Just unscrew the antenna and check the condition of the rubber seal. I solved the problem with rapping the seal with electrical tape until it butted up perfectly. Hope that helps.... also theres NO need to remove the spoiler if its actually the antenna..

Good luck,

Mark

along with that, i thought something was leaking around my spoiler, turned out the drain that is located between the hatch and the body of the car on that little ledge there was cracked and the water was running into the car. in another case, the tail lights were not sealed properly around the top against the car, and the water ran down the back of them. sorry if you are 100% sure its the spoiler, just giving you, like mhockey, other things to check into ;)

you know what else it could be is your rear window washer fluid tank could be leakin into your car... believe me, ive seen it happen, and smelled it... It's not a pretty site.

Well Thank You guys I think I will check all of that and the reason i wanted to know how to take the center spoiler piece off was because is slightly loose on both sides of the hatch and figured that was the reason I had an 1" of water all over my trunk. I dont think is the rear water reservior since it is still half way but thanks for the input I will look into it aswell since it could have a pin hole ;) Thank You Guys a lot...

my spoiler is pretty lose also but doesnt leak. so it may be your problem, might not be. On my eclipse, the spoiler was lose so i got new clips for it and the peice of junk was still lose. so dont know what was wrong with that thing. ended up using double sided tape to hold it tighter. so easy to use the spoiler to open and close the hatch
