How can I be sure correct WB values are being logged?

I'm working on calibrating what the wideband logs in Link, and after tweaking the volts/lambda i've gotten it to read +/- .1 at idle. Its pretty darn close.

But I have a feeling its not quite the same when in open loop/ boosting. I cant drive, look at the computer, and the gauge at the same time, so how can I be sure it's logging the correct numbers?

I dont want to base the tune around the wrong AFR's and mess something up.


It's a AEM if that matters.

You can either videotape the wideband gauge, have a friend look at both, or just look at the wideband gauge at WOT and remember where it sits around and then verify with the log afterwards.

I'll give it a shot. Seems like there should be a much more "professional" (for lack of better terms) way to do this, since its a pretty crucial thing..

A more "professional" way would be a dyno. Hold compute right next to gauge and check. I have yet to see one on at idle but off at WOT.

And the most "professional" way would be to get rid of it and get an LC-1

Either way, as long as you have it reading correct around idle, you shouldn't see it vary any more during WOT.

Haha, well i'm already out $150 for the AEM. But, i believe it's about as good as it's gonna get. Thanks again!
