greetings to all the fellows of the DSM. I have a question can anyone tell me exactly how to remove the honey comb and silencer from the intake to increase throttle response any help is greatly appreciated thank you and stay true.

take off your maf

then remove the screws (bend them up is what I did)
and then carefully take out the smaller honeycomb on the bottem.

also back out the screw by removing the silcone over it, (scrapping it out) then backing out the screw with a flat head. (you can reseal if u like)

then for the silencer it has a metal cage aroudn whatlooks like a filter. just pull the whole god darn thing out (doens't matter if you ruin that peice or not you will never need it again.)

Also upgrade to a K&N filter and hack some of the front portion of your cover for the filter.

Good info here bro, exactly what you're looking for to my knowledge. But JESS explained what you needed to know also.
