Okie... I'm a rookie, so if I get the HKS SSQV BOV for my 2G, will I need a flange? If I do, would I need the steel one or the aluminum one? I don't even know what those are... :|

Your best option would be to get a metal upper intercooler pipe (UICP) that has a HKS flange welded to it. www.dejonpowerhouse.com aka Dejon Tool, has a UICP and with the HKS flange it will be $99 + $30.

You know that you can't vent it using the stock air flow sensor, right? If you want to vent, you'll have to go with a blow-through (blow-thru) setup.

You will need the flange if you don't buy pipe with it already installed. Buy a steel flange if you're welding it to steel pipe, and an aluminium flange if you're welding it to aluminium pipe.

I'm actually thinking of getting the recirculation kit and recirculate. :)

FYI, you don't HAVE to recirculate your BOV, but i highly, highly advise that you do. Most HKS SSQV's are available as a kit that includes the flange for your DSM. I used to run a SSQV not recirculated and the car ran fine, but that is not always the case for everyone. Don't chastise me about venting though, i have seen the light and now have a GM MAF-T set up for blow through on my new project eclipse. :dsm:
