If he doesn't have money to get something to tune with how can he get an AFPR? I've never had one on the 5 cars I've tuned with a 255hp and never seen an issue. On 1G's I usually switch to a higher pressure regulator such as the auto one or a n/a one, which probably helps.

If your ECU is an EPROM, just get a chip burner for 85 bucks, a couple chips, and get your ECU socketed. Do a lot of reading on here, so you can make your own informed decision on what to do. Turn your boost down for now and start saving up for something to tune with. Some have had good results just putting in a 2G airflow sensor with 550cc injectors.
