Alright my car was down for about a week for random shit .. its a dsm im used to it . In anycase while it was down i stripped my interior so i could run my system wires down the carpet. Long story short .. i originally planned to drill holes through the firewall for my wires then after two unsuccessful attempts (holes were drilled but never located on the other side :thumbdown ) i just decided to run it through the boot for the steering column. My question is .. before i finished with my car i changed the plug wires .. and put it all back together. When i started my car it started sputtering and coughing .. and i reved it up and it back fired.. WTF!! OMG I was starting to get nervous then .. i also remembered that the throttle pedal felt like it stuck right away .. then after it was pushed in it got normal again. Since i thought i screwed up the positioning on the plug wires i took out the new 8mms and put the stock ones back on the exact way they came off. The car now idled at like 1800 rpm. So put my 8mms back on now same thing .. at least now it was running normal. I drove it around and it seems like it was alright. Even with the idle screw screwed all the way 1800 was the lowest it would go. Its almost like the throttle is stuck somewhere?

I was originally worried that i possibly drilled into something .. but i didnt hit any lines that i know of and i wasnt really around anything that was close. The holes i drilled were located .. #1 behind the battery box into an area around behind the glove box .. and the other one i drilled from inside #2 towards the bottom of the firewall.

I know most people will say that its a boost leak somewhere or something .. but i just find it odd that it never did it before. I wouldnt think larger wires would have anything to do with it but i dunno. Should i mess with the throttle cable and try to loosen it up a bit or something?

Gimme some advise!

Thanks guys/gals
