High Idle problems with BISS screwed all the way in.

What would cause an idle of 1500 or in the range with the BISS ajusting screw all the way in? I have my emmissions removed and DSM Link. I also just re did my head to include 1mm oversized valves.

The ECU is not throwing any codes. I messed with the air settings on DSM Link with no help.

Any ideas?

The Idle Speed Controller might be the problem. To test, turn on the A/C or other accessories and if the RPM's drop and do not recover the ISC is either bad, or the stepper motor is not correctly centered leading to it maxing out its range prematurely.

My ac is not connected but when I turn the lights on it does drop. And how do I test/ajust the stepper motor?

1. Check ignition timing.

2. Check timing belt markings.

3. Did you follow proper BISS adjustment procedure?

4. Perform a intake pressure and a compression test.

Thanks old man great timing again... I hate timing belts. Just got done rebuilding the head because it slipped. I learned the hardway but I would rather learn that way than not at all.

Is there an article on how to using a timing light with a 95 ecu and cams? I got dsm link too somthing about using a setting on there to use the light.
