Okay well it's been a week since I went to the track and ever since that night (including the end of the night), my car has been idling at 2000-2300 RPM's, somewhere in that range. With the AC on it's at about 1500-1700 RPM's.

I tried searching around for this and I found many idle problems but most are problems like the idle keeps going up and down or something. Mine stays at a constant number.

I did a boost leak test and I was leaking a little at the Throttle Body and at the Injectors so I replaced the gaskets on the TB and the O-rings on the Injectors, so all of that is okay now. Problem is, I'm still idling high. Oh yeah, if it's any more help, the vaccum on my boost gauge reads -20PSI while idling at 2000RPM's. That's what it should be at a normal idle...

What else can I do to fix this? Gas is very expensive now so I can't afford to have my car sitting at 2 grand all the time. Before the night at the track my car idled fine, about 750 RPM's.

Im sure you car sees more jolt/vibration at the track than it does on the street.
You haven't seen the streets where I live...

I would also check the TPS, and make sure the throttle isn't sticking open. Mashing the gas at the track might have pulled the cable or got it stuck on something or something.
It's probably something super simple that you haven't thought of, since it isn't surging.

Yeah I did play with the Biss Screw, it's in all the way, the only way it can go is out and we don't want that, LOL. What do you mean by check the TPS? Just check it to make sure that it's plugged in? My TB is closed all the way so I don't think it's caught or anything. It does sound like it is probably stupid though. As long as I can get it fixed tho...LOL

Ok I just read somewhere that your ISC sensor should slightly kick up your RPMS (100-200) at idle with the A/C on to keep the car from stalling...is this true? (Someone with a good running 2g DSM go test it out LOL) If so, maybe that would explain why your idle kicks down with the A/C on rather then going up a little.

There is an idle adjustment screw on the top of the throttle body, that occasionally will screw itself in sometimes thus raising idle. When I went to emissions they wouldnt let me test because my car idled at 1211rpm he said make it idle down and we can do this. The fix, turn that screw out while running youll hear that idle come down I promise. To make sure that it doesnt happen again, dab some RTV sealant on the head of the scew like a wax seal type of deal, to keep it from moving.

Okay well it was a screw on the throttle body but it wasn't on top. It was on the back at the bottom of the TB. Maybe it's diff on the 1G's? That screw fixed it though. I backed it way out and now I'm idling at about 750-800 RPM's, it's crazy how quiet my engine is now, LOL. Thank you so much though guys. I'm going to take a pic of it tomorrow when it's light out just to show people what screw I'm talking about for future reference. I'm guessing the screw screwed itself in while I was running the car hard at the track, probably all of the vibrations.

No not the BISS screw. U know the thing that the accelorator cable connects to? Right under that there is a screw and you can back it out and it will let the engine idle more. Sorry I don't know the proper names for everything. I'll get the pic for you tomorrow.

Alright here we go guys, I took a pic today.

You can't see it in the pic but at the end of that screw there is a nut, you will have to loosen the nut first then you can turn the screw easily. Just use a phillips for the screw. I think the nut on there was like a 6mm. Something really small..

I didn't move anything to get to it but it wasn't easy doing it. The cables are what are mainly in the way, if you feel like taking something out to get to it then do it, it'd make things alot easier. I did it while my car was running though so I could hear it idle down.

Yes it affects where the throttle stops. I'm guessing it vibrated itself in during the racing at the track. I just backed it back out and the idle dropped.
