Alright i got a pretty crazy problem, my idle keeps on going up every time I stop, but if I'm stoped and i whack the gas quick the idle goes down. It's really annoying! I have the bov atmospheric, the motor is a 60k jdm from jdm engine depot, it's got a bbk tb, forced performance big t28 turbo ported, a forced performance exhaust manifold, and a cx racing front mount. I've asked so many people it's agravating! I also removed the ac, charcoal canister, and cruise control. please help thanx!

are you using the A/C? i know when i stop in my GST, my idle will stay at 2k for a second and goes down on its own or i just step on the gas. But you venting could be part of it too. I would say do a boost leak test just in case too.

I put the charcoal canister back in, i'm using a stock 2g maf, and ## not the only person saying the thing about venting it recirculating. i'm still stumped. and i've had 2 2nd gens prior to this one but they were non turbo. so how do i do a boost leak check?

check your throttle cable...mine idled at 2500 rpm and then I adjusted the throttle cable now its idling at 1000.

yeah I had that after the car sat due to a blown turbo. turned out to be just the throttle cable sticking I would check that first since it is very easy.

I don't think you need the canister to make it idle right, but when you idle, you have full manifold vacuum holding the BOV open. Isn't that like putting a big hole in your air intake? You may as well dissconnect your MAF with it running that way.

checked the cable, at first i had it routed the wrong way and it still does the same thing as before. but i did some reseach on all data yesterday at work and i guess the tps not only tells the computer where the throttle is but if it's closed or not! so i'm looking into that as well :ohdamn: and oh yeah i put the charcoal back in due to the fact that a cel came on and i'm in the process of trying to get it inspected. and i just made it recirculating again same thing happened!

Take off the tb and clean it out sounds like the butterfly is sticking till you tap the pedal or the cable could be dirty stopping it from working properly

My 1g did the same thing. It was a number of things tps was off and I had unmetered air coming into the motor through the intake (bolts came loose) and the tb gasket was bad and two bad injector seals.

I have dsmlink and figured out the problem but I think you have unmetered air coming in.

I have the same problem around 2000 rpm. I removed all emissions including EGR. I'm going to boost leak test this weekend. Then block FIAV if no leaks. If that fails its a bad ISC. You can also do a check to see if your ISC is bad.

SOLVED!:ohdamn:

I ENDED UP PUTTING THE STOCK TB BACK IN AND NO MORE ISSUES! IF U GO AND SEARCH BBK ON THIS WEBSITE ONE OF THE THREADS SAYS THE BBK TB IS NOTORIOUS FOR STICKING OPEN. AND THE BEST THING TO DO INSTEAD OF BUYING THE BBK TB IS BUY A 1G TB INSTEAD!

THANX FOR THE HELP EVERYBODY!:D
