I'm a new DSM owner. Only mods so far are Dejon Tool 2.75" intake and 1g BOV (not crushed). I recently installed an electronic boost gauge and taped it into the hose that runs from the intake manifold to the solenoid that controls the fuel pressure regulator. While driving at WOT my boost reaches ~1 to 1.1 bar (14.5-16 psi). Is this level normal for only having modified the intake and BOV (seemed a bit high to me)? Could it be the hose i tapped? I though I read this was the best and most accurate place to tap the line. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

~Brandon :dsm:

Your right that's where I have mine tapped too. I'm assuming you don't have a MBC either. Is it a constant 14.5-16psi or is it just spiking to that? Might wanna check the vacuum line running from your wastegate to the BCS. Could have come undone and you are just freewheeling the compressor wheel and that's BAD. Basically means the wastegate won't open to dump pressure. Also does it feel more powerful than the stock PSI or is it just reading higher?

The high boost is constant. It does not seem to be spiking because I can hold the boost there if I stay on the throttle. Thats a good thing, right? I also checked the line to the BCS and the only one that is loose is the one that use to go to the intake, but no longer has a connection to the aftermarket intake pipe. Do i need to plug up that line or can i just leave it open connected to nothing?
