I have a 92 eagle talon :talon: tsi awd, it is stock and my boost level is always raised to 7lb when it should be at -7 I was told it was my maf sensor but im am not sure can anyone help me?? :)

Boost is measured in psi, not lbs. Vacuum is measured in in/Hg, not negative psi, for future reference.

I'm assuming this is on the stock dash boost gauge, correct? If so, don't always believe it. It's there more for entertainment purposes than accurate measurement. Get an aftermarket boost gauge and install it to see how much you're really boosting. The MAF should have nothing to do with boost measurement, since it's pre-turbo.

When you first turn the key on what does it indicate?

Key on, engine off, it should be at 0.

Btw, the factory boost gauge isn't actually "measuring" the manifold pressure...It's just indicating what the ecu thinks it is...based on airflow, rpm, coolant temp, tps and etc...

When it's reading way off there's something fishy going on.

Is it stable at 7ish, or does it waver?

How does the car run?
