ok, im finishing up my clutch swap, and im short one bolt.(i have a 6 bolt swap/ only 4 bolts) .im short the one that seems to be facing ( or screwing in) away from the transmission. its the bolt closest to the firewall. now there's like a 1/4 of an inch gap between the block and the transmission in that corner only. does anybody know the tread pitch, and size of that bolt, thanks.

on a side note, i accidentally ripped out one of the wires that go into the CAS .( it ripped to the base) so now im struggling on a way to reconnect the wire. has anybody had a similar problem? can i just open up the cas cover & solder a wire from somewhere? TIA.

ya u need that one. Id say most commonly forgot bolt. Ummm i think it is 8mm with 1.25 pitch and it is 55mm long now it has to be a very high grade so it can with stand the stress. I went with a black cap screw that is grade 12 very strong. the only bad thing is that is was only 52mm long and id say it is alittle short. Im getting the oem bolt soon. Id say go with oem.

The bold should be the same thread pattern. If you dont want to pay $4 for an oem bolt you can get one from Home Depot. But I would recommend an OEM one. Just saying if your dealership is like the one in Charleston and never has anything in stock.

yea i live in Miami, and i have about 3 mitsu dealers within a 10 mile radius of whom which never seem to have anything in stock ( go figure). home depot dosnt seem to have a dsm friendly bolt selection; they never have the right thread pitch...im going to have to stop by a fastner place...

ya it is hard to find that hard of a bolt in metric. but i am going oem.
