I have 3 problems currently that I am having a hard time figuring out.

First of is the oil leak. Every now and then I will get oil pooled up underneath my spark plug cover. I have traced it either to the oil cap or a seal in the spark plug wells. I replaced the cap gasket and it seems to have helped, however I still get some oil. When I take off my plug wires the cylinder on the far left (if you're facing the engine) has oil on it. None of the other wires do. You can also see in the picture that oil has leaked out previously from the screws holding the spark plug cover down.

Secondly I have found oil caked on where the arrow #1 is pointing in the picture. Also when I rev the engine blue smoke comes from that location. Any idea what it could be. The valve cover in that area is not leaking and it is well below it.

My second question is in reguards to the valve cover vent. I installed a dejon intake a while back and it just has the bov recirc. tube. I took two pieces of vac. hose and put a fuel filter in between. The hose that isnt connected to the valvecover is just open to atmosphere.

Can I hooke up the other end of the vac. line to the port on the maf when the boost source used to be or would that be bad?

Sorry for the blurry pic but you know what the engine looks like and I was just using it for reference.

1: I would replace the whole oil cap. The seal doesn't always do it. You can also try bending the two tabs on the bottom of the cap inward a bit. Sometimes they don't hold quite enough pressure.

2: Have you checked your exhaust manifold over? It may have a crack or loose bolts. I would address any issues with that. Pull the heat shield and check it out. Sucking down a little sea-foam has always helped me find exhaust leaks. *I'm just guessing with this exhaust stuff that you might be burning some oil. It would be smart to check oill lines and replace the valve cover gasket.

3: You should hook the breather hose to a place that sees constant vacuum IE: before the turbo. If you hook it up past the turbo you will feed it positive pressure, defeating the purpose. You might think about tapping into the BOV recirculation line with a fitting. I've also tapped into the coupler at the turbo before, but it depends on how much material you have to work with there.

First I would say to replace your valve cover gasket . As well as the plug well gaskets . If they are leaking around the bolt holes , I would guess that someone has cracked your valve cover . May not see it , but when it get hot the vc expands opening the crack enough to allow oil through . The other spot I believe #1 . Does your dipstick pop up ever ? Could be oil spray out of the tube .

ok i checked over the manifold and heres what i found.

Two broken studs so I have traced the smoking back to this. The residue I believe is due to me spilling coolent and it becoming crusted due to the exhaust leak when I replaced my o2 housing and when I moved the line in that area. So I do not believe its a constant leak anymore. However I will clean it up as best as I can to make sure this is the case.

Also this pic shows how I hooked up the vent. Is this ok?

Coolant leak area ? The circle on the right ? There is an oring where the water pipe fits into the water pump . May want to consider replacing it if it is leaking still . May only leak when pressurized .

well in my second set of pictures (with the blue rings) those are the broken studs

The coolant leak was from me removing a line full of coolant and it spraying everywhere.

I cleaned the area off and will be checking for any new leaks (if any).

Also as far as the broken studs, can i still remove the manifold with them broken or do I have to drill them out first?

Yes remove the manifold first . You may be able to get vicegrips on the rest of the bolt .

You should still be able to remove the manifold. Depending on how long the studs are you may have to wiggle a bit. When you do, replace the manifold to turbo stud with a proper bolt.

Be careful when tightening the manifold to head bolts. They don't take much torque. (~20 ft lbs if I remember right)

If that nipple is post MAF you should be fine. I'm pretty sure it is, but I can't remember the stock MAF MAF box that well.

If you remove the little heat shield around the power steering pump, getting that corner nut on the manifold will be much easier. A new exhaust manifold gasket will help seal as well, the studs are 8mm x 1.25 and can be picked up at a ACE Hardware. I would recommend picking the valvecover/exh. manifold gasket and a stud/nut set at the same time, Welcome To Extreme PSI
