Need advice. (Picture included)

Need to know the best and easiest way to get through or remove the broken bolt. It is the bolt that goes through the bell housing to the block (bolt is broken in block). I am thinking just drilling through it then using a bolt/nut. I know extracting it would be pretty hard. What is the easiest and fastest way? Need it get this trans secured to the block NOW! (This is the girlfriends car not mine )

I had the same problem but with bolting the pressure plate to the flywheel. All auto parts stores sell a tool for extracting bolts and its about 10 buck and they work great. You drill a hole in the center of the broken bolt and then the Extracter tool screws in counterclockwise to remove the bolt. Try doing that. That way you can use the original threads and dont sacrifice the integrity of the hole.

You could try a reverse drill bit and hope it takes the old bolt out. Otherwise, drill the hole an put in a heli-coil. But it may be just as easy to drop the trans at that point.

PS: You need a new motor mount!

I had the same problem but it was a on a 1990 integra the spark plug broke in the head so i removed the head and drill out the spark half of the spark plug that was left inside then clean it with an air compressor finally use a thread bit to thread the whole for a new spark plug also using WD-40 to cause less friction.
