While i was installing my 16g, i noticed that the vacuum line running from the wastegate solenoid to the stock turbo split into two and ran to both the wastegate actuator and the turbo housing. Should this be set up the same way for the 16g? The only place for a vacuum line hook up on the 16g is on the wastegate actuator, nothing on the turbo housing.

IDK about the 4g63 but cant you connect the wastegate hose to the intake manifold?

Anyone? Could use some input too. Just installed a 68HTA and the lack of nipple on it coming from my T28 had me scratching my head. Jpipe has no nipple on it, and my Injen intake has an extra nipple on it that has been capped off forever--was wondering if I could use that?

No. To open the wastegate you need positive boost pressure that the intake will never get.

You can use the intake manifold but you want the wastegate to open as fast as possible when desired pressure is reached. The fastest way is having it on or very close to the compressor cover. It is not recommended to put it from the intake manifold.

Best way is to drill and tap a nipple onto the j-pipe like I said before.

Solid copy, that's what I'll be doing tomorrow then. Thanks for clearing it up.

turns out the install kit i got had a nipple installed on the pipe in between the j-pipe and intercooler, so thats where i will be hooking the hose up to.
