Ok well I took the turbo off for the second time to port it today.

I ported the crap out of everything, and it still creeps!

I'm still on the 14b, I shouldn't be creeping at all in the first place!

I am pretty sure my wastegate works because I tested it with my air compressor and it opens just fine.

I don't know what to do anymore, it still creeps to 18 psi no matter what I do to this d@mn car. I can't afford to go external or get new injectors+safc. I may try and weld in a resonator in the exhaust, hopefully that will help, as well as quiet my car down.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm sure I could take more material out above the wastegate entrance, but there is no way I am taking the turbo off again for more porting. Especially with a dremel tool LOL. I am sick of spending almost entire weekends on end to not make much progress.

My next step is to find a nice 18 or 24" resonator to get welded in my exhaust. Hopefully that should give me just enough backpressure I need to help battle the creep. Plus I would like my exhaust a little quieter, so I'm not throwing a resonator in to just battle creep. Are their any resonators out there that any of you recommend??

Thanks,
Shane

Dynomax makes a good one and you can pick it up at just about any parts store. I have one on my car and even with it and my apexi muffler I would still creep to 15 psi with the 14b.

I could, but I don't know where to get a bigger flapper, don't know who would install it for me, and I don't really want to deal with the hassle.

I would rather try getting a resonator first. Plus I want my exhaust quieter. If that helps with creep and noise levels, then I'm happy LOL.

The bigger flapper would have to be a last resort for me.

Marc91 GSX- Is your turbo ported also? What size resonator/exhaust do you have? How loud is the whole setup? Because if I could reduce boost creep to only 15psi that would be great. Right now I creep to 17-18.

i agree with the auto guy. boost creep is horrible... i to the point of changing from my 14b to another turbo. I also seem to never get a clear pix on the o2 dump or recirc pipe. could i get some advise.:

i trying to decide if i need to keep the o2 dump or if i recirc will i lose power or gain more creep( lord forbid!!!)

hey screwdgie, did you have the alternator checked before putting it on, i just changed my alt. and the one i bought was bad. this has happened twice.

It was a Bosch remanned that came with a certificate of testing. I wish I had checked the fuses before I went and bought another one.....I can't find my receipt for the old one so I'm out $130 :(

If I were you, I would stick with the o2 dump. If you go back to a recirc. one, there's a good chance you could creep more. Unless you get like an evo3 o2 and port it to hell.

Forced Performance carries them. I do not think they are too hard to install but then again I have never put one in myself, hopefully someone has that can respond.
