help taking apart 2g eclipse gs seat

The previous owner did a very bad job painting the interior paneling
and plastic pieces on the bottom of my 2g eclipse gs seats. I have a
picture of some knobs that I cannot get off. They need to be taken off
so I can repaint it and the whole plastic piece won't come off until
those knobs are off.

I'm just going off of memory but I believe you have to take the center caps of the knobs off then there will either be a bolt or nut underneath to remove the knobs.

It kind of looks like someone tried to pop open that cap already. If my memory serves me correctly though, he's right about having to pop those of to get to a bolt underneath.

no there's not a bolt there it has a snap ring of sorts on the back side of the knob.
