HELP!!!!! poor preformance and back firing

Ive got a major problem,
tried to start my car and it took forever it rolled over but just didnt fire,
once i did get it started it seemed to run kind of rough, and i didn't seem to have as much power as i should, also if I let off the accelerator, the car would backfire a little.
The car had been sitting for 4-5 months so, could it just be that my injectors or fuel line is clogged, or could it be that i fouled out a sparkplug or 2. or is it a major problem like that my timing belt may have jumped a tooth???????????????

Please help, as you can see Im not that great at problem diagnosis, but if its something simple i should be able to fix it myself quite easily as I have the use of a car lift and quite a few tools.

Any help is greatly apreciated. as I need this fixed quite soon as it is my daily driver and I need it to get to school and work.

sounds like a spark issue if it's running rough. try plugs and wires. start it up and pull one wire at a time off of the spark plugs and see if the engine changes at all. if you pull one and the engine idle doesn't change at all, that's the cylinder you're having spark issues with.
