### HELP NO oil pressure

so my alt belt gets put on wrong and breaks, i pull it over wait for my friend to come with his tow dolly so i can get it home. when i start it to drive it on the dolly it runs great but it took a few times to get it on straight. after a little while it begins to skip alittle, i figured it just the battery dying. so i get the new belt on today and start it and the oil pressure gauge is not moving at all and the car seems like its misfiring bad. now my question is what could have caused this? could the belt of hit something when it broke? any ideas would be great. thanks!

by the way the car is a 95 tsi and the car didnt over heat and there is no knocking or other engine noise's

Check the sending unit by the oil filter. If the belt snapped it could of broke the wire. that could be the reason why you dont have oil pressure.

My thoughts exactly, although i replaced the sender an wire an still no pressure so i guess its in the dash. I just open my oil cap once in a while an peak in to check an see if theres oil coming to the head untill i get my after market gauge.

you can always get an aftermarket gauge! that will ready the right pressure instead of a the guesstimator.

the wire is off thanks. but as far as it running like crap maybe the battery still doesent have enough juice ive been charging to for a few hours

Change the plugs. go to the auto parts store and put in NGK bpr6es nothing else! see if that helps.

If you jumped arc across the battery terminals.

I drove my 90 with no belts about 3 miles. You have to watch out because the Water pump is driven by one of the belts.

I would gain speed then shut it down until I made it home.

i didnt drive it very far at all and it didnt over heat.i looked it over for any other broken wires but its parked in the grass and it kinda hard to get a good look.. any idea where i should look

Make sure your batt. cables are tight on the termanials first. Check your oil.

all else fails get a jump start or steal a batt out of a friends car.

If you want to pull the ECU and open it up and see if you notice any type of damage.

oil is fine terminals are tight. it turns over great it just wont fire

havent had the car long, i bought it with a broken belt but i assumed the reason it broke this time was because my buddy didnt tighten the tensinor enough. ran great even after the belt broke just started boging down and running like that as i was pulling it onto the tow dolly and when i unloaded it

Can you confirm your getting spark? Or fuel?

what belt was broken when you got it? please tell me it wasn't timing belt

seems to be getting fuel, the ALT belt was broke when i bought it,...i pulled the cover and the timing belt looks somewhat new and seems to be in great shape.idk where to look next by the way thanks for the help

Cheat a little bit and have someone spray a little bit of starter fluid in the throttle body and turn it over. you will find out quick if you have spark.

Just take the tube off the throttle body elbow Open the butterfly and quick little spray.

to check spark pull a plug and check to see if it arcs to the valve cover.

cant find the starter fluid but i did check the spark it seems to be good

new break cyl 2@3 have good spark. 1 and 4 none and they go to the same coil. so thats where im going next how hard are they to replace?

Cake walk dude. There a few bolts an a wire clip an putting the new plug wires on.
