I need help badly. I've worked on it for countless hours and researched for countless hours and i am out of ideas. My clutch has been acting up latley. For the first 10 mins or so of driving, it shifts nicely. After that it begins to act where i have to press the clutch in, take it out of gear, let clutch out, and then put it back in gear. This should not be happening. I can feel my clutch pedal feel different that when i started driving which makes me believe its in my hydraulic system. I have recently replaced the master cylinder and adjusted my pedal countless times. I'm wondering if buying a stainless steel clutch line would maybe help this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure your pressure plate is not failing, i had a similar problem earlier this week, and that was my problem. Also make sure your pedal is adjusted correctly. I also had he same symptoms while in the first 10-15 of driving, and after that it all went to hell. I know its alot of work but can you drop the tranny and show some pics of the fly wheel, pressure plate and clutch. It would help alot with my diagnoses on the problem.BTW not saying im a wiesman on this but I have had my fair share of tranny problems this month.

Click link and scroll down a bit. It sounds like you have 2G "pump up"

I JUST fixed this issue in mine today. I had to play with the adjustment rod and the upper stop a little bit. Like the article says, a little play on the top, and a little play on the bottom.

Don't forget to bleed the system! I would do that first since it's the easiest and a common problem.

I dont think its pump up because i have had that before during the adjustment stage. When i had pump up the pedal engagement point would travel up so high where the clutch would slip. But not it seems like the disengagement/engagement point almost sinks as i start to drive and the pedal feels mushy when this happens.

If that's the scenario then it sounds like there's air in the lines. Have you thoroughly bled the system yet?

Yeah i have. Used the method of pumping the slave cylinder rod and pumping the pedal with somebody underneath and just getting clear brake fluid.

Hello, I have somewhat the same problem. At first the drive and shifting is very nice but it seems when the drivetrain warms up. The pedal dosent feel the same. A couple of days ago. My clutch pedal went to the floor when I was slowing down for a light. I almost crapped my pants while rolling helplessly to the intersection. I reached below the pedal and pulled it up. Everything was okay after that, but the pedal's feel was still not 100 percent. I have changed master cylinder as well as the slave. I replaced the clutch about 4000 miles ago during my trans rebuild. I have bleed the system countless times, no air comes out of the slave's bleeding port. There was 2 really strange things I did find recently with my clutch delima. If I were to push my clutch pedal down with my hand very slowly. I noticed that at about 1/2" to 1" of movent If I just hold the pedal in that posistion the pedal seems to loose all resistance and falls to the floor. If I pull it back up and push it down faster I feel resistance all the way to the floor. WTH?? I can repeat this all day and it gives me the same result. I saw the video on adjusting the clutch and I have that down to a science.
The 2nd thing I noticed is if I go down to the tranny and push the slave rod back into the body of the slave my pedal falls to the floor as well. Even though the slave rod slowly comes back out to the clutch fork's resting point. The pedal in the car stays down. Anyone has any clue to what's wrong here and if someone with a working clutch could try to slowly press there clutch pedal down about 1 inch and see what happens. Thanks

Crankwalk? In my case I Dont think so but I have a question about the little canister thats in between the slave and the master cylinders. How can you tell if thats going bad or is bad? My oil pressure is very good. If I had crankwalk wouldnt the pressure go down?
