hey guys i am new to this forum and this is my first dsm i just traded my 91 acura integra for a 95 eagle talon tsi with the 6 bolt swap well i dont know much about the car so im asking you guys. First off the car is stock no performance mods besides the swap and it has a bad clutch cause the guy i got it from said that the disc is bad and it is a six puck racing clutch i guess well it is so stiff all i have to do is let my big toe off the clutch and it engages well that is not my main problem my problem is i drive the car and when it warms up if i am driving and i take it out of gear the oil pressure cuts out and the car dies i dont know what could be happening ive been searching all morning but not finding much help if you guys can shead any light on my situation that would be great thanks alot guys

I traded my 90 Integra for my 95 GSX.
I'm not sure about the problem so im sorry I can't really help,
However that clutch is too much for s stock setup IMHO.
I'd look for something Less harsh on your motor/drivetrain.
I had a 6puck on my integra and it was a beast... too harsh for the setup and I wasnt stock.
However Im sure someone will come in here and help you out, so untill then sorry I couldnt
help out anymore.

Is your car OBDII? If so what codes are showing?
Is your CEL on? (Check engine Light)
We need some more information, this seems odd.
Be sure to check the basics like every single fuse, make sure the Spark plugs and wires are all good.
Go have the battery and Alt tested at Autozone or Advance/the like,
Make sure your air filter is clean, Check for boost leaks also.

damn thas weird thats never happened to me before so i dono what can it be man sorry.
but yeah someone will help ya out for sure.

yeah i dont know what year car the motor is out of but my cel is on because i dont have a cat just a 3 inch exhaust straight back and the bov is re-circulated i haven't done anything to the car since ive had it for 2 weeks and i need to get a new clutch cause i know it is to extreme for the motor but i think that it might be crank walk cause i think that there is no oil getting to the thrust bearing and the car when cold idles at 1000-1200 and when warm it goes anywhere from 700 to 1000 and then when im driving when i take it out of gear if it dosnt die out it will idle at like 500 and below

It sounds to me like you might just have a few idle issues to work out. Does the oil pressure drop of as it is dying or does it drop of and then die? It is doubtful it is crankwalk unless you got screwed and it is still the seven bolt, but even then anything is possible. Does the car die with the clutch in or out?

ok the oil pressure dies off then the car dies out soon as the oil pressure dies and it dies out immediately when i push the clutch in but if i dont drive it and it just sits in the driveway and when it warms up it idles really low but dosnt die out unless im driving it could it be because my clutch is bad and the throwout bearing have anything to do with it

Sounds like the car is just stalling, your oil light will come on right before it dies. Thats becuase its below the idle point to get your 11.6 at idle rpm and when you go below it a certain amount it will come on. If the oil light is on while you at idle or more it then may be a problem.

so do you guys think that the car could use a tune up or something i did replace the thermostat and radiator cap and the spark plugs are good and thanks for replying so quick guys this forum is way better then any forum ive been on with great members thanks guys :)

Like the others said, I doubt that it is crankwalk. Try increasing the idle speed first then go from there. It is likely something simple.

2G BISS Adjustment

Even though a scan tool is the proper way to adjust the BISS, it is not absolutely necessary. Just wait until the motor is warm then turn it counter-clockwise a bit (back it out) to raise the idle speed.

I'm sure you're keeping an eye on your oil level, right?;)

This would keep the car from stalling, with a slightly higher rpm at idle. But if you can not figure it out you may need to take it to a shop to find out. But if are bond and determine is good practice on your car to work on it.

Check the condition of your intercooler hoses, if the are orginal they be leaking. I have a feeling this is vacuum related or its you ISC.

Agreed on the ISC being a culprit. You need to check for vacuum/ boost leaks. You can search around and find a ton of info on the ISC, how to set the idle and doing a boost leak test.

thanks guys ill try the bliss and let you guys know and ill check my intercooling piping i know that the top intercooler pipe is not metal its like a rubber hose i will look and take pictures so you guys can see what im talking about

If someone did a 6 bolt swap and didn't account for the the ignition signal inversion that comes with a 1g CAS in a 2g car, the car will run but idle like crap. Check out either link that romeen and fatherbubble left. Study it really good and go from there.

when my car was idleing like crap and cutting out when i put the clutch in, i tracked it down to being the Throttle Body O-rings.

I ordered new ones from WorksEvo.com and did the swap in 1hr.

either way i would say you have a vaccum leak somewhere.
