Ok my car was running fine. I decide to put on a new valve cover on that I had powder coated. After everything is set...so i think, i go to start my car and whala....NUTHIN!!! Its cranking but gettin no fire it seems. i checked all spark plugs and connections.....seem to all be good. any suggestions???

ya that was one of the first things i checked. it starts from left to right 4 3 2 1 right?

No. The layout of the plugs are in that order from left to right. The actual firing order is different. Try 3214. I think that's right. Mine is 4123 due to the 6 bolt swap.

Well...I couldnt figure it out and I cant afford the down time without a car so I had to have it towed to my mechanic. I will let you guys know what it turned out to be...thanks for trying to help.

OMG wow.....

wow what? is there something else you think i should have tried?

well so far we figured out that i am not getting any spark nor a pulse to any of my injectors.....anysuggestion on further trouble shooting?

Thats our next step. Seems to be the next logical thing at least to me. I'lll keep you posted though.

The crank angle sensor! Wasnt operating correctly so wasnt getting the pulse to the injectors or to the coils. Now for the $$$ out of my pocket for the part....o well I guess thats what cars are for huh...

Was it even plugged in.?? How many miles do you have on your car. The ony reason I ask is because the crank angle sensor usually doesn't go back very often. There are a few reasons, but I'm not going there!

And how it went bad when you were changing your valve cover, I'm still trying to figure out.

And if it was the CAS, that tells me you had a check engine light, but I'm guessing you just ignored it.?

Nope no check engine light and why would I ignore it? If you knew me you would know that I am a pretty paranoid and picky person when it comes to my car. It happened just as I said it did. Everything was fine...I changed my valve cover, tried to start the car and nothing. Ya i'd like to know how it happened like that too. Just out of nowhere.

Yeah, actually testing something.
I did all of the testing that I knew how to do on my own (spark plugs). Obviously I dont know too much about trouble shooting problems on cars which is why I said I just took it to my mechanic. And rather than be without my car for too long bsing with it on my own it is easier for me to have it brought to my mechanic and have him bs with it while I watch and learn. Why not have an experienced meachanic deal with it and learn something at the same time?

Because I could have told you exactly how to figure it out.
