1G help lowering boost?

Ok I seached and couldn't find he answer to my question. I got a 91 Talon TSi fwd that I just recent purchased and I'm hitting 20psi. I looked for a boost controller and couldn't find anything, so how could I lower the boost?

Try just running a vacuum hose from the turbo to the wastegate actuator. That way you will be running on just spring pressure, about 10 psi, if that doesn't work, inspect your wastegate flapper. If that functions properly then you need a new actuator.

what u mean runin it put a couple holes in it? if i got a diffrent turbo like an 16 would it fix it?

1st thing you should do is fill out your profile so we know what all of your mods are or are not for that matter. Im guessing you have an aftermarket boost gauge and my third question is do you have it connected correctly?

No, just use one hose. One end at the little nipple coming off the turbo, or the pipe that comes off the turbo. And the other side of the hose attatched to the waistgate acuator. No holes, and no the turbo size won't change the fact that you are over boosting unless you change the actuater with it, and that would only be the case if your actuator is the problem. Keep in mind I am assuming you have a internally gated system, also you do need to fill out your profile info so we can better help you.

yes i have an aftermarket boost gauge and it hooked up correctly
